One person. One coffee.
One uninterrupted hour.
A moment in time.
Our time together will not be recorded or documented and what you share will be kept confidential. I may snap a polaroid before we leave for my own memory of the connection.
I'm not here to give you advice.
There is nothing to fix.
I'm here to be present. To be curious. To listen without waiting for my turn to speak or adding my own stories to yours.
"Attention is the rarest and purest form of generosity."
— Simone WeilUnderstanding connection — how it helps people flourish, and the harm caused when people do not have it — is my present priority.
I'm curious about what shape a story takes when it's intentionally listened to and uninterrupted. I'm curious about my own capacity to listen, and how I show up when I'm not waiting for my turn to speak. I have a desire to receive deep presence. I know others might have that desire too.
Some people go their whole lives never feeling truly seen or listened to. One hour won't fix what I believe is a societal failure. But it's a practice. And practices compound.
"The most precious gift we can offer others is our presence."
— Thich Nhat HanhThe coffee is on me.
Not ready to sit with me — because being seen might actually be terrifying — but you're down for other people who might want this experience?
